Summer Term -Second Half

Dear Parents,

A few more dates for your diary.

Sunday June 10th – Church Parade at St. Michael’s, Stanwix.
Please do your best to ensure that your child attends. The last two Church Parades have seen disappointing turn outs. Let’s make this the best so far this year.

Wednesday June 13th – Hike Night
Please can you drop off your children at the Gelt Woods Car Park at 6.30 and pick them up again at 8.30pm. The Cubs need not come in uniform but they will need suitable footwear, a waterproof and a drink.

Saturday June 16th – BT Giant Sleepover
This will take place at the Scout Hut. The Cubs should meet at 7.00pm and be picked up between 9.15 and 9.30 the next morning. The cost for this will be £3.00 which is a donation to Childline. If your child would like to attend then please return the slip below on Wednesday June 13th.

Thursday July 12th – AGM and BBQ
Instead of holding Cubs on Wednesday 11th we will meet with the Beavers and Scouts hopefully at Ratlingate from 6.30pm. We have booked a mobile climbing wall for both parents and children to try their hand at climbing. During the evening we’ll hold the yearly AGM (this is normally very brief) and a BBQ will be available for all. This promises to be a fun way to end another enjoyable year.

Information Forms
If you still have not returned the personal information form then can you so asap.

Blogging
In order to try and cut down on the number of letters and reminders, we have set up a group blog. This will be a method of ensuring that last minute information can be passed on quickly. If this is to work then can I ask that you check the blog frequently and always on a meeting night. The blog will contain copies of recent letters, reminders and a basic calendar of Group events. It can be viewed at
