Christmas is coming!
Oh yes it is!
The Beavers, Cubs and Sccouts will be attending two different church services during the next fortnight. The first is the Christmas Nativity Church Parade at St. Michael's Church on Sunday 7th December. Each section is doing something different but Ben Phillips, the vicar, has asked Cubs to come dressed as shepherds on the day.
Tea-towels at the ready then!
The following Thursday is the District Carol Service, the sixers are all taking part in a competition on the night and we don't want to lose! More details on Wednesday. We realise that this clashes with Christmas performances at Kingmoor Junior, St. Monica's and Rockcliffe Schools but we still expect all of the other Cubs, Scouts and Beavers to attend.
Please can everyone bring a gift to the service. This does not need to be new, a used but well cared for toy that you will no longer use is a great gift. Please make sure that the gift is wrapped and a label is attached saying boy/girl and an approximate age.
Please read your section timetable and/or speak to one of the leaders for further details.

What Akela forgot to ask you!
I forgot to ask on Wednesday night for those coming to the camp on Friday to bring a small traybake and some tea-towels. Oops!

Cubs - Make, Stick and Do 1
If any parents are interested in helping with some sewing this coming week, please can you let me know by texting me on my mobile.
It would also be useful if some of the Cubs could bring a needle and two old buttons with them this week.

Kandersteg Meeting
We are holding a Kandersteg meeting at Ratlingate this coming Saturday (22nd November) to discuss next years trip. The meeting will start at 1pm (not 11am as previously stated) when parents drop off the Scouts for this weekends overnight camp.
Both Bruce and I have a number of items to discuss with the parents but hope that the meeting will last for no more than 30 - 45 minutes.
Please make every effort to attend.
Many thanks.
