Cubs- Wednesday 17th October

Please remember that we are having an investiture tonight so please come in your school trousers and school shoes. We're also saying goodbye to Ben, Kester, Ross and Luke R. who are leaving for Scouts. Will you be taking their place as a sixer or seconder? Find out tonight.

Swimming Gala

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Reivers District Swimming Gala last night (Saturday 13th October.) Not only did the Cubs successfully defend their title as District Swimming Champions but the Scouts were able to add the 12 and under and 14 and under trophies. A clean sweep!
Everyone who took part tried their best and should be congatulated for "having a go."
Many thanks go to the leaders and parents who helped out. Without your help it just wouldn't have happened.
Well done to all of you.

Some of our tents are missing!

Do you still have a Force 10 tent (Orange) or a Gamma 350 (Blue) as they seem to have disappeared? If you do then can they please be returned to the Scout Hut asap.

France 2008

We have been offered the opportunity to send up to six Scouts or Explorers on a trip to France next August. The trip has been organised by a group of Bradford (5th Bradford South Scout Group) and Wrexham District Scouts and we have been invited by Amy Lovatt (a Scout Leader at the 13th until June) to attend.
There are a maximum of six places.
The trip will cost £490 but we hope to subsidise this, as we did for the Switzerland trip, and hope to charge no more than £250.
Dates are August 16th to 27th 2008.
Activities will be planned by the Scouts themselves but suggestions have included horse riding, canoeing, mountain biking, pot holing and the opportunity to visit local attractions.
