AGM

Group AGM
The Group AGM, which was postponed in July due to adverse weather conditions, will now take place on Friday 7th September starting at 7pm. Due to continuing construction/demolition work at the Upper School site, access to the Scout Hut is restricted so the meeting will be held in the Upper School Devonshire Hall. Car parking will be in the Trinity Leisure Centre car park and Scouts and Leaders will be on hand to give direction.

We regret due to space availability this will not be the usual social event, so there will be no barbeque or activities. This is an important event in the Group’s calendar and all parents and carers are encouraged to attend, but please note that there will be no provision for supervision of Beavers, Cubs or Scouts.

Agenda, annual accounts, section reports and other papers discussed during the evening will be available at the meeting.

Dear Parents,
We now have less than a week to go before our Back to Basics camp. Coracles are waiting to be constructed, fires yearning to be lit and games longing to be won. Below is all the information that I think you'll need to know before you bring your child to camp. However, if you have any concerns or queries, don't hesitate to get in touch with me, (details below).
·         The camp will start at 5:30pm on Friday 31st August at Ratlingate and finish at 12.00pm on Sunday 2nd September. Please feed your child before bringing them as we will only provide supper on Friday night.
·If parents can stay and help put tents up then that would be great.
·         Some of you are bringing tents, whilst others will have been given ones at the Scout Hut earlier this month. Please remember to bring these!
·         Bring your own chair as you did to my last camp. An old deckchair that's been hiding in the shed will do.
·         You will need to bring money for your Chip Shop supper on Saturday night. The prices will be:
£5 for a small fish and chips
£5.50 for a large fish and chips
£3.50 for chicken nuggets and chips
£3.20 for sausage and chips
·         We will be getting wet whatever the weather so please bring an extra set of clothes, swimming gear and towels.
·         Don’t forget your traybake!

Emailing all Cub Parents

On Monday 13th August an email was sent to all Cub Parents for whom we have an email address.  Please check your mailbox to see if you have the information contained.  If you have not received an email, or you now use another email address, then can you please email cubs@13thcarlisle.org with your childs name and the email address you wish us to use.  We can then forward the email to you.
