St. George's Day District Camp

St. George’s Day District Camp - 21st-22nd April 2012
Dear Parents,
This April, the District will be holding a camp to celebrate St. George’s Day at Ratlingate. This will replace the previous format of a St. George’s Day Service on the Sunday, with a short service being incorporated into the camp. In order to save on money before London and to allow for ample daylight hours for putting tents up themselves, we are asking that the Cubs arrive at 9:30am on the Saturday morning (rather than the Friday night), and are picked up at around 11am on the Sunday (parents helping with taking down tents would be greatly appreciated)
We are aiming for all the Cubs to complete their Outdoor Challenge over the weekend. These challenge will include tracking, cooking along with other fun activities such as crate stacking, blind trails and more.
If your child wishes to come to this camp, please return the slip below with the cost of the camp (£10) to Cubs next week, by cheque made payable to 13th Carlisle Scout Group and your child’s name and St. George’s Camp on the reverse.
At this camp we will be camping and the unpredictable nature of April’s weather should be remembered so both wooly hats and sun-cream should be packed in your child’s bag! A kit list and camping kit description can be found on our website.
As always, please remember tea-towels and traybake... these really do help us over the weekend!
If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to speak with myself (webmaster@13thcarlisle.org) or any of the Cub leaders.
Yours Sincerely,

Ben Hodgkiss - Assistant Cub Scout Leader
